PERMA ANCHOR FIX-80
HIGH STRENGTH THIXOTROPIC THREE COMPONENT POLYESTER GROUT
Perma Anchor Fix – 80 is a polyester resin based grout which is used in locations where very high early and ultimate strengths are required along with chemical resistance properties. The product is supplied in pre- measured three component units of base, reactor & initiator.
- Perma Anchor Fix- 80 is used for installation of dowel bars in concrete and for providing starter bars in RCC structures for continuation of structural concrete or in extension of structural members.
- Perma Anchor Fix-80 can be used for fixing foundation bolts, base plates and rail tracks.
- Because of its thixotropic nature the product is successfully used in vertical horizontal as well as in over-head applications.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Drill the holes for anchor with hammer drills so that holes with rough internal surface are obtained. Clean the holes to be grouted with compressed air so that the holes are free from any loose ground material, which could affect the bond of the surface with the grout. Mix the base liquid with the initiator to a homogenous mix. There after add filler powder to the mix to make a smooth consistency paste. Fill the hole with this paste taking care to see that the hole is filled effectively from the bottom to avoid any entrapped air in the hole. Insert the dowel rod, anchor or bolt in the filled hole and hold it in position till it has become firm. Tool the mouth of the hole to make an even and smooth surface.

Perma Anchor Fix-80 gives a paste of density 2.20. Hence one kg Perma Anchor Fix-80 gives a paste of 455 CC volume. The quantity of Perma Anchor Fix-80 required for anchoring various diameter bars in various diameter holes is as follows:
Qty Of Perma Anchor Fix- 80 Required In Gms For 100 Mm Bond.
NOTE : For effective anchoring the hole diameter should be at least 4 mm more than the anchor diameter and should not be more than 25 mm of the anchor diameter.
Cured Perma Anchor Fix-80 is resistant to fresh and saline water, Petrol, diesel, oil, grease and most solvents, acids and alkalies.
Perma Anchor Fix-80 is capable of holding heavy loads but the failure occurs in concrete, brick work, rock etc., in which the anchorage is provided. However loads which Perma Anchor Fix-80 withstands in sound concrete with 16 mm anchor in 20 mm dia hole are as follows :
|Embedded Length||Failure Load Tonnes|
NOTE: A Minimum factor of safety of 2 should be considered in all anchoring designs. Strength of the body in which the anchoring is provided should always be the guiding factor in anchor design. Above 60°C the Anchor Fix-80 starts softening. Hence Anchor Fix-80 should not be utilized in places where temperatures are expected to rise over 60°C.
All equipment must be cleaned immediately after use with cleaning solvents. Similar procedures should be adopted for break periods.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Perma Anchor Fix-80 should be handled carefully. Use of Mask and hand gloves recommended. Avoid the contact of the product with the skin. Work in a well ventilated area. The product being flammable, should be kept away from flame and smoking in vicinity of application area should be prohibited.
