SINGLE COMPONENT POLYURETHANE INJECTION GROUTING SYSTEM
When injected in the concrete Perma Inject Hydrogel reacts with water or moisture to form semi rigid foam or a flexible gel depending upon the quality of water used. It also fills up all capillaries and honeycombs in the concrete to discourage accumulation of water in these pockets at a later stage. Perma Inject Hydrogel is more suited for heavy engineering applications.
Perma Inject Hydrogel seals leakages in all difficult situations such as basements, tunnels and heavily leaking massive structures.
Perma Inject Hydrogel is free from solvents and fillers. It is resistant to hydrolysis and is suitable for use in potable water tanks.
Perma Inject Hydrogel stops the leakage then and there only instantly after injection, there is no waiting period for curing time etc.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Clean the surface to be waterproofed and remove the plaster or lose concrete in the area. Assess the leaky area and decide the injection nozzle pattern. The leakage could be either from a horizontal or from vertical crack. Drill holes on either side of the crack at an inclination of 45° inclined towards the centre of the crack at an interval of 8 inch centre to centre. Always start from the lowest point and progress upwards. In the drilled holes fix the packers effectively. In weak concrete the drilled holes becomes larger than desired, in such cases the packer may not fit tightly to a leak-proof fit. If this happens grout the surroundings of the packers with a stiff consistency paste of Perma Plug.
Perma Inject Hydrogel consists of a MDI based solvent free, isocyanate component and will only react when it comes in contact with water to produce foam or gel depending on the proportion of water used.
Polymer: water, 1:1 to 1 :5 produces impregnable elastomeric foam
Polymer: Water 1: 9 to 1 :15 produces a highly resilient elastomeric gel.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The workers should use mask and hand gloves to avoid direct breathing of the toxic vapors and to avoid direct contact with the skin. Ventilate the working area adequately maintain over all hygienic conditions. Clean the tools and the pumps immediately after use.
Perma inject Hydrogel is available in packing of 25 Kg and 5 Kg tins.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Perma inject Hydrogel has a shelf life of 9 months from date of manufacture. These products are both temperature and moisture sensitive. Hence it is of utmosrt importance that these products are stores in DRY CONDITIONS BETWEEN TEMPERATURES 10 to 30 degree.
